Corporate Days of Service

Today, more than ever, employees want to know that their companies are giving back in the communities in which they work and live. Big Sunday tailor-makes unique, creative, impactful and fun projects that engage employees and strengthen the team while improving the world. We understand that each company is different and have happily done all kinds of corporate service projects all over the US, Europe and Asia, too!

If your company is interested in seeing how we can help, please contact corporate@bigsunday.org.

Here are some ways we can work with your company:

1. Let us plan a unique Corporate Day of Service

Think of us like a wedding planner – but for a service project.

We create an impactful, turnkey event especially for your company, and can make every kind of arrangement, including transportation, food, and photography.

These projects can employ any kind of skill and assist all kinds of causes. We can plan events for 25 people or 2500; in one location or multiple places simultaneously; in the field, at your office, or online; or any combination of the above.

We’ve planned events all over America, as well as Europe and Asia. But wherever you are, each project is specially and uniquely planned.

Each project is specially and uniquely planned. Please email corpporate@bigsunday.org for more details and pricing.

2. Join us at one of Big Sunday’s Monthly Events

We host at least one big, festive, family-friendly helping event in Los Angeles every month. People of all ages and backgrounds work together and enjoy one another, all in the name of making the world a better place.

These events honor and aid those in need around holidays like MLK Day, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving or the year-end holidays. Or they are annual traditions such as Back to School Week and Books ‘n Brunch, which help underserved communities.

Many corporate groups use these opportunities to engage employees and often their families, too. Companies are invited to join the crowd, or we can designate a part of the event to call your own.

3. Join us at one of Big Sunday’s Weekly Events

We also host events every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning at 10am at our headquarters in Hollywood.

Each session offers a fun, hands-on way to help underserved people. Projects last 1-2 hours and have included filling bags of food for hungry families, making mosaics to cheer up ailing people in hospitals, and working for and with those in the special needs community.

4. Let us host a helping event at your office

Having a helping event at your office is an excellent way to ensure both a great turnout and a big impact.

Big Sunday has dozens of projects we can do right on your premises, involving groups of absolutely any size.

We can come to oversee it in person or send you a special kit with instructions on how you can do the project yourselves, wherever you may be.

5. Let us host a helping event at our office

In you’re in the greater Los Angeles area, having a helping event at our office is an excellent way to ensure a great turnout and a big impact – and the fun of going someplace new.

Big Sunday’s headquarters is a lovely small campus in the heart of Hollywood. We can accommodate up to 350 people, and we can host an enormous variety of fun helping and giving projects, often simultaneously.

It’s a wonderful way to get your folks out into the field while also being all together.

6. Take part in a Big Sunday “think tank”

Many nonprofits are excited to have the professional expertise of those in the for-profit world. Our think tanks gather your employees in a discussion group to assist a nonprofit that is wrestling with a particular problem or problems.

They can take place in person or virtually, involving people from one office or many offices at the same time.

Think tanks are also a wonderful and gratifying way to help a cause that may be important to your colleagues yet does not easily lend itself to hands-on volunteering.

7. Consider a different kind of helping project.

People love Big Sunday’s innovation.

We’ve founds all kinds of creative ways for corporate groups to give back: decorating hospitals and shelters for the holidays; hosting underserved kids and adults on adventures like horseback riding and harbor cruises; barbecuing at the VA; playing Trivial Pursuit to help local charities; creating a day of pampering at a women’s shelter; practicing interview skills with vets looking to get back into the job market; serving on a panel at a school for the arts; and visiting a local jail to discuss bail reform.

We love matching your team’s passions and talents with the people and places that will appreciate them.

8. Let us create a special in-house program for you

Whether you want to create a one-time holiday gift registry, quarterly helping opportunities, or an entire ongoing volunteer program, Big Sunday can help you.

We can even help you find Board positions for employees looking to serve nonprofits in a different way.

We are continually surprised and delighted by the new opportunities and challenges our corporate partners throw our way and are proud of our ability to meet them time and again.

9. Provide a meaningful helping project for affinity groups

Many companies’ affinity groups like to give back as a way to help their community, while honoring what makes them special.

Big Sunday has hosted corporate affinity groups celebrating Martin Luther King Day, Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Americans With Disabilities Month, Pride, and many more. Some groups have joined us for popular annual Big Sunday events marking these occasions. Other times, we’ve planned a wide variety of bespoke projects for affinity groups wanting to mark these special occasions and holidays.

Diversity is a cornerstone of Big Sunday and, as such, we are delighted to help everyone at any company find a way to give back that is particularly meaningful and resonant to them.

We’d love to work with you.
