Editorial: One L.A.

What Los Angeles really needs now is a massive gathering of thousands of people pouring onto the streets.

And no, we don’t mean another immigration rally.

Protesting may be the American way but so is community spirit and helping each another out.

So let’s put the politics aside for a day, and all come together Sunday for Big Sunday – an annual day dedicated to community service.

Big Sunday events – which include serving meals, visiting shut- ins, picking up trash and cleaning up the community – will take place this weekend all over the city.

This Sunday, let’s have all of L.A. come together as one.
