Big Sunday-Building L.A. Communities
Angelenos should plan to give back to their communities during “Big Sunday,” hailed as the largest day of community service in the nation, said Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
The community service project, scheduled for May 7, is expected to draw 25,000 volunteers from throughout Los Angeles, he said.
“Angelenos have always been generous with their time, whether it’s an hour or a day,” Villaraigosa said. “Big Sunday offers our diverse city the opportunity to build our communities with diverse projects.”

[Thanksgiving Stuffing Event] “Our Thanksgiving wouldn’t be the same without you guys. It warms my heart and replenishes my faith to witness such kindness in action.”
