We’re looking forward to our Annual MLK Day on January 20, 2025.

Please know that we are working with many organizations, helping people affected by the Los Angeles fires and responding to the constantly changing community needs, both at this event and through all our other events and programs.

This year, we’re thrilled to bring back our long-standing clothing drive alongside making brand-new clothing kits! We’ll be collecting both new and gently used clothing again to help those in need.

There will be tons of ways for you to help those who need all kinds of clothes:

1. Assemble brand new clothing kits: We’ll be assembling 2,025 winter clothing kits of warm, new clothing.
2. Sort new and gently-used clothing: We’ll be sorting, folding and packing. All sizes, all styles. Footwear, too!
3. Help us collect and sort 2,025 pieces of underwear. All ages, all kinds, all styles.
4. Support Passion’s Prom Project. Collecting prom dresses and tuxes for underserved teens.

Like always, it will be a big, wonderful block party with lots of ways for people of all ages to help.

In addition to the clothing drive, the day will feature the following:

  1. Arts & crafts projects to benefit local nonprofits
  2. A school beautification, including colorful new murals
  3. Our very popular (and always growing) Civil Rights Exhibit
  4. The beloved Big Sunday’s Something in Common Project
  5. A special MLK DAY Big Sunday Mosaic Sun
  6. Live entertainment from the awesome Blue Breeze Band
  7. And of course, a delicious (and large!) community breakfast to enjoy togethe

All ages are welcome!
