At Big Sunday, we’re often surprised by how many people simply don’t have enough clothes. So, once again, we’ll be collecting clothes for all kinds of disadvantaged and grateful people! We’ll be collecting clothes for women, men, boys & girls of all ages and all sizes. New and gently-used work clothes, casual clothes, warm clothes & coats, and athletic wear all needed, just to name a few. New socks and underwear are greatly appreciated, too! (You can even donate below and we’ll shop for new socks and underwear for you!)
Volunteers are needed to help sort, count, fold and pack all of the donated clothing to prepare it for our nonprofit recipients. Last year we gave away over 50,000 articles of clothing to more than four dozen wonderful organizations!
We’ll also have lots of fun arts & craft projects throughout the morning, awesome entertainment from the Blue Breeze Band, and of course, we’ll also all be enjoying breakfast together.
And, what would MLK Day be without Big Sunday’s Something in Common Project! Everyone is invited to meet someone new and find out what it is you have in common, and have your picture taken together.
In these divisive times, we’re especially looking forward to MLK Day this year. We can’t think of a better occasion for people of all ages, backgrounds and beliefs to be working together for a common cause. We like to think it’s what Dr. King worked so hard for.
All ages welcome!
