After the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery, followed by the many protests and discussions that arose, Big Sunday took the opportunity to provide resources for those who wanted to learn more, get more involved, and help where they could, all in the name of creating a more just and equitable society.
We were very happy to help. Not surprisingly, the more we learned the more we realized how much there is to learn!
This fall, we are pleased to introduce our new resource guide. It will include listings of minority-owned businesses to support; recommended books, movies, tv shows, articles and podcasts; listings of nonprofits where people can learn more or help out; and ways to share information on these subjects with kids, too. These are people pulled from all kinds of sources and will be available to anyone who is interested.
As we said at the time, this is a marathon and not a sprint. As such, this list will evolve and grow as we learn more and are introduced to more sources. Of course, feel free to be in touch with any ideas or suggestions you may have.
Look for this list soon. Questions or comments? Great! Please contact [email protected].
