Big Sunday’s Greatest Hits, Volume II

Saturday, May 14th, 2022 12pm – 3pm
at Evergreen Elementary School

Shortly before the shutdown, we got a call from the wonderful principal of Evergreen Avenue Elementary School asking if we could help out at her school. Then, the last two years happened.

Well, now that things are opening up again the time seemed perfect to call the principal back and say, “Count us in!” So, on Saturday, May 14, we’re heading over to Boyle Heights to paint murals, fix up and plant gardens, create a lovely sitting/reading area, fill bags full of special summer kits for kids, and lots more, including enjoying music, lunch, and each other (AKA, our “greatest hits!”, and this is the sequel to the one we did shortly before the shutdown!).

As always, we’re working not just for the lovely Evergreen community, but with them, too!

This is a very nice school, with 96% of the kids are from low-income households. They could use our help! All ages are welcome – groups, too! – and all activities will be safely outside.

Thanks to our great friends at The Home Depot both for their generous sponsorship and for sending a wonderful team to help us out.

And, yes, absolutely, if you’d like to be a sponsor (and bring your group, too!) please let us know. Sponsorships start at $500. Contact berenice@bigsunday.org.
