Our New Facebook Page: Spreading The Word About Big Sunday

At Big Sunday we have thousands of fans and friends alike. But now that we’ve launched our own Facebook page, you can make being a Big Sunday fan, official.

“Facebook is probably the biggest and most ubiquitous social networking site out there,” said Charlie Hess, Big Sunday’s design director. “And Big Sunday is the largest citywide community service event in America. We thought it was a great fit for us.”

Having a Facebook page encourages a dialogue with our volunteers, our nonprofit partners and anyone else who might be interested in Big Sunday. Click here to check it out.

You can find basic information on the site about Big Sunday: who we are, what our mission is, upcoming events and meetings and how to reach us. And our fans can post their ideas, comments, stories, photos and videos on the site. “It’s a great way for people to let us know what they are thinking and for them to communicate with each other,” said Rachel Linton, Big Sunday’s program manager.

Big Sunday’s greatest strength is the Big Sunday community. “This is a way to build on that,” Hess said. “Facebook is the ultimate online community building tool.”
