Something In Common

For MLK Day 2015, Big Sunday reunited with our old pals at Temple Israel of Hollywood to enjoy an amazing two-part event.

On Sunday, January 18, 2015, the Temple marked the 50th Anniversary of Dr. King’s visit onsite with an unforgettable, multi-cultural evening of singing, dancing and sermons.

The following morning, Big Sunday hosted our 3rd Annual MLK Day Clothing Drive and Community Breakfast with a huge crowd of hard-working, friendly and hungry people giving away more than 20,000 articles of clothing.

Nearly 2000 people of all ages, from all walks of life, took part in the two events.

At both events, people were asked one thing: To meet a stranger. Find something that you had in common with them. And have your picture taken together.

We weren’t sure if this experiment would work.

It worked.

Here are the results.
