Helping Hands

Home >> Helping Hands

The Helping Hands program provides free yard work to elderly, low income and disabled residents in the La Mirada community. Volunteers are essential to the success of the program and monthly events.

Volunteers do not need any previous experience with yard work. All supplies and tools will be provided by the City.

Closed toe shoes, personal transportation to and from sites, and a special event waiver are required to participate in Helping Hands. Waivers are available on the City website and i will have physical copies on the day of the event as well.

Volunteers between the ages 13-17 need to be accompanied by a guarden and need to have thier parents fill out and sign a special event waiver.

Hope to see you there!
