Planning ahead? We know – this year, it’s tough!
Usually, this is when we post our schedule for the “new year” – July 1 – June 30. It includes lots of our weekly regular events, monthly special events, annual blowout events, as well as different programs. We’d hoped to post something now, but things simply keep changing too much.
This is what we can tell you:
- We are still very much here, working to connect people through helping in all kinds of ways!
- Our 3rd Annual Summer List is posted, with more than 150 ways to help throughout the summer.
- While we cannot host big (or huge) events like Books ‘n Brunch, Spooky Sunday, Our Annual Thanksgiving Stuffing Event and others in the way we usually do, not to worry: we will be doing something!
- For starters, this summer Back to School Night is going to become Back to School Week. We will be hosting small, masked, outdoor, socially distanced backpacking events from August 10 – 13. (Hey, school will start – in some form! – again, and kids have gotta be ready for it!) As always, all ages will be welcome. We are still working out the details, based on city, county, state and CDC guidelines and our best judgment for everyone’s health and safety, especially as conditions change. It will be an experiment, but we’re hopeful that it will work well, and we’ll continue to find new ways to connect and help throughout the year in ways that are gratifying, impactful and fun.
Keep checking this space – as well as our social media sites – for updates.
