Kids Volunteer Everyday! Read and share stories with your peers!

Now, if there was ever a picture that says volunteering can be fun, this is it! This is a picture from Big Sunday Weekend, 2010. These girls were helping to host a visit to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for a group of moms and their kids from the Hawkes Transitional Residence, a wonderful group home for homeless families working hard to find jobs, homes, and a better life for themselves. The visit to the museum was followed by a picnic on the lawn outside, and that’s where everyone cut loose after some heavy-duty museum-going.
